Business Monday

Did that other business steal your customers?

NO!

The customer didn’t leave because your competitor exists, they left because your competitor did a better job of getting their attention. We call it marketing.

Marketing is communication to people that you exist.

The best product doesn’t always win. The business that tells its story consistently, builds trust, stays visible, and reminds customers why it exists often does.

You cannot spend hours complaining: “Their product isn’t even as good as mine.”
Maybe it isn’t.

But people can only buy from businesses they remember.

+ Visibility creates familiarity.

+ Familiarity builds trust.

+ Trust drives sales.

Instead of watching your competitors with resentment, try curiosity.

+ What are they doing better?

+ How are they speaking to their audience?

+ How often do they show up?

+ What experience are they creating that people keep talking about?

+ What promotions do they run?

+ What time do they open and close?

Every successful competitor is giving you free market research.

Business isn’t personal. If someone else is attracting your customers, don’t waste your energy hating them. Invest that energy in improving your product, refining your message, serving your customers better, and showing up consistently.

In business, attention is earned, trust is built, and loyalty is maintained.
